Yantó is a singer, songwriter, music producer, and performer. Born in Bambuí, Minas Gerais, Brazil, he currently lives in São Paulo. He holds a degree in Popular Music and a Master’s degree in Performing Arts from UNICAMP, where he also studied dance.
His work moves between Brazilian popular music, pop, and experimental music, articulating song, performance, and sound research. He has released the albums eLe, VERÃO, LINEKER, Sítio Arqueológico, and talho, as well as several EPs and singles.
He composed and produced music for the dance works BOCA ABISSAL, Fôlego, and CRUSH, presented by the Balé da Cidade de São Paulo and ELETRO-RAIA, all choreographed by Rafaela Sahyoun. He also composed for Spanish choreographer Fran Díaz, in a work selected by the Winning Works Choreographic Competition of the Joffrey Ballet (Chicago). In addition, he composed the score for a new creation by Rafaela Sahyoun and Fran Díaz, in collaboration with (LA)HORDE and the Ballet National de Marseille, with a premiere scheduled for October 2026. In theatre, he composed and produced the music for Reparação, by Carlos Canhameiro.
He is an alumnus of OneBeat (Found Sound Nation, State Deparment - USA) and was selected for the New Music Commissioning Programme 2025/26, a partnership between Sound and Music and the British Council, focused on international co-creation of new musical works.
In addition to his solo career, he is the lead vocalist of Bloco Explode Coração. He also works as a performer, dancer, actor, and vocal coach in different contexts of São Paulo’s artistic scene.
